Gireogi Dad (기러기 아빠)

This year is especially exciting and significant because we aimed to use Korean Culture Night as an opportunity to highlight the struggles that immigrants face on a daily basis when moving from Korea to America.

The production focused on gireogi appa(s), which is defined as fathers who stay in Korea to financially support their children who study abroad. Our motives behind addressing these immigration stories was to bring awareness to the hardships that both the children and parents face.
